Survey Mapping Technician, Rockford, IL

Overview:

Arc Design Resources, Inc., an engineering and surveying company located Loves Park, IL, is looking for a full time survey mapping technician. Company benefits include competitive salary, health insurance, company subsidized IRA, paid time off, and a great team environment.

Qualifications:

The survey mapping technician shall have a 2 year technology degree from an accredited college or a minimum of 2 years related experience in surveying to qualify for the position. The survey mapping technician shall have the basic knowledge of data collection, field note reduction, mapping, surface modeling and basic drafting knowledge for the development of ALTA, topographic and engineering base map preparation. Court house research, familiarity with title policies and the ability to write a legal description is also needed.

It is desirable that the technician has experience with the current release of AutoCAD and Civil3D software, familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel, and field experience in surveying and construction of civil engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

The survey mapping technician will be responsible for the preparation of accurate survey maps and plats, review of local and state laws regarding surveying, and follow up on survey projects including recording and delivery of surveys and plats. This work will be done under the review of a professional land surveyor.

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS), Rockford, IL

Overview:

Arc Design Resources, Inc. an engineering and surveying company located in Loves Park, IL, is looking for a full-time Illinois and Indiana Professional Land Surveyor. Qualifications:

Applicants must have expertise in directing and performing all aspects of acquiring, processing, analyzing, and compiling data to prepare plats, maps, documents, and deliverables for boundary surveys, right of way surveys, topographic surveys, subdivision, ALTA/ACSM surveys, and control and design surveys and be able to perform outside field surveys. Must have a strong working knowledge of surveying equipment, robotic total stations, GPS and computer-based design applications such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

The PLS will be responsible for Business Development in the form of client contact, report writing, proposals, and the RFP/RFQ process. Responsibilities also include quality control, oversight and review of field work and office survey work to ensure quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness of survey projects. Scheduling and coordination of work assignments for field and office personnel.

Civil Engineer, Rockford, IL

Overview:

Arc Design Resources, Inc., an engineering and surveying company located Loves Park, IL, is looking for full-time entry level and experienced (2-5 yr) civil engineers. Company benefits include competitive salary, health insurance, company subsidized IRA, paid time off, and a great team environment.

Qualifications:

The civil engineer shall have a bachelor of science degree from an accredited college to qualify for the position. Academic course work in Traffic and Transportation or Hydrology and Hydraulics are preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD is required with knowledge of engineering software such as Civil 3D, HCS, Passer, HEC/RAS, and Pond Pack. Field experience in surveying and construction of civil engineering projects will be helpful.

Responsibilities:

The civil engineer will be responsible for the design and preparation of engineering drawings, engineering reports, site planning, exhibit preparation, grading design, roadway profiles and design, earthwork and storm water calculations, and utility design. Responsibilities will also include permit assistance, quantity take-off, and occasional field work including survey assistance and construction observation.
